He is known to be one of the founders of Al Rajhi Bank together with his brothers Saleh, Mohammed and Sulaiman. The bank was founded over 50 years ago. Currently, he sits as the Non-Executive Officer and the Vice Chairman of Al Rajhi Bank.
From 2008 through 2012, Abdullah Al Rajhi served as the managing director and chief executive officer of what is considered as one of the largest banks in the Islamic world. Currently, the bank has more than $71 billion worth of assets. Abdullah Al Rajhi is considered as one of the wealthiest persons in Saudi Arabia who hold several agriculture and cement companies. He also has interests in Al Baraka Banking Group, which is an Islamic bank founded by Saleh Kamel.
