Ron Conway is an American angel investor who has an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion. Born Ronald C. Conway in Palo Alto, California, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at San Jose State University. When he ventured into the computer business, he knew little about technology in his first entry. However, he still made a fortune in the industry. From 1973-1979, he worked with National Semiconductor Corporation in the marketing positions. He was the co-founder of Altos Computer Systems and served as the President and CEO between 1979 and 1990. He was the CEO at Personal Training Systems (PTS) from 1991 to 1995 until it was acquired by SmartForce/SkillSoft.
