Kathleen Patricia Taylor CM is the Royal Bank of Canada's chairman of the board. She is the first woman to become the chairman of the board of a major Canadian bank that happened last January 2014. She served the board since 2001 and since then, she has served the audit and risk committees as well as the corporate governance and human resources committees.
Taylor initially became the chief executive officer and president of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. She is the chair of the board of the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation as well as a member of The Hospital for Sick Children's board of trustees. She is also Canada Pension Plan Investment Board's director and serves on the Human Resources and Audit Committees. She also became the director of Adecco Group and served on the audit committee. Aside from this, she is also a member of the Schulich School of Business' Dean's Advisory Council, the McGill University's Principal International Advisory Board as well as a member of the National Council of the C.D. Howe Institute.
