Known to be the Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of the world renowned Instagram, Kevin Systrom is an American software engineer and entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of $400 million as of 2012.

Four years after finishing his degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University, Kevin Systrom founded Instagram with Mike Krieger. He is also the founder of Burbn, location-sharing service which is based on HTML5.

Prior to his success with Instagram, Systrom has worked for Odeo as an intern. Odeo was the company which launched the online media platform Twitter. After spending two years with Google where he worked on Google Reader, Gmail and Corporate Development team. Two years after the founding of Instagram, it was finally sold to Facebook for $1 billion worth of stocks and cash. Several reports claimed that he earned around $400 million for the said deal.
