British entrepreneur, Jonnie Shearer has a net worth of $16 million. Brits love innuendo and Shearer, the founder of Pussy natural energy drink, can testify. "The name gets instant stand-out," the entrepreneur says. Picking an attention grabber also meant he could sidestep a marketing budget when launching the business from his bedroom office straight after finishing at Oxford Brookes University. "We're competing against massive brands like Red Bull that spend millions on marketing. So the idea was to get people to give it a go." The ex-Sherborne schoolboy initially borrowed £25,000 from family friends and ordered 150,000 cans of Pussy, which is made in Yorkshire. The drink sells half a million cans a month and is on the shelves of Tesco (under the name P***y), Selfridges and Itsu. "We're probably only selling about 10% in bars and nightclubs now," says Shearer, who lives in Notting Hill and signed up investors including Holly and Sam Branson to raise $2.87 million. He plans to launch other Pussy products, so their father, Sir Richard, had better look to his laurels.
