Known to be the founder of several Silicon Valley technology companies, Jim Clark is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion as of 2012. He has founded companies like Netscape Communications Corporation, Healtheon, MyCFO and Silicon Graphics, Inc..

Born on March 23, 1944 in Plainview, Texas, Jim Clark completed his masters and bachelors degree in Physics from University of New Orleans. Subsequently, he attended the University of Utah where he finished his PhD in Computer Science.

Prior to the founding of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI), James H. Clark has worked for the University of California, Santa Cruz and Stanford University. Together with his fellow graduates from Stanford University, Clark founded SGI in 1982. The company emerged to be the leading provider of 3D imaging and visual effects in Hollywood movies. Eventually, he left the company in the 90's.

In 1994, he co-founded Netscape with Marc Andreessen. It was the peak of economic boom when they founded the company and when the economic boom ended, Clark earned $2 billion. In 1996 he started Healtheon, which he later merged with WebMd to form the present WebMD Corporation.

James Clark is currently married to his fourth wife, Kristy Hinze, an Australian model. He has two children from previous relationships and his current wife gave birth to their daughter in September 2011.
