After leaving Google in 2007, Taylor joined Benchmark Capital, a venture capital firm. Together with Jim Norris, who is also a former employee of Google, Taylor co-founded FriendFeed, a social networking website. Until 2009, he was FriendFeed’s chief executive officer when it was purchased by Facebook for approximately $15 million. He served as Facebook’s CTO until 2012.
