Sanjay Kapur is the Chief Executive Officer of Sixt, India - Sona Mobility Services Ltd., which is part of Sona Group. He has an estimated net worth of $81 million.  He is also Vice Chairman of Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. and Chairman of Sona BLW Prazisionsschmiede GmbH's Supervisory Board. Outside of the family business, he is known for his tumultuous divorce with Bollywood actress, Karishma Kapoor.

From 1984 to 1990, Sanjay attended the prestigious "The Doon School." Between 1993 and 1995, he received his BBA in Corporate Strategy & Human Resource Management from the University of Buckingham. From 2003 to 2006, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for an executive education program called Building on Giants.

The business executive's father is Dr. Surinder Kapur. He is a businessman and is also the founder of Sona Group. Sona Group was founded in 1987 with the goal of producing automotive components. With subsidiaries in Brazil, France, Sweden, and the Czech Republic, it also has a strategic position in Fuji Autotec, Europe. It began as a “Manufacture to Print” company and now boasts of having developed its own intellectual property, particularly in the areas of off-highway power steering, defence, and aerospace.

His mother is Mrs. Rani Kapur and he has two sisters, Suparna and Mandira who are into publishing and luxury brand consultancy business. He was married to the famous Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor in a Sikh wedding ceremony held at R. K. Cottage on September 9, 2003. The couple lived happily for a few years before getting divorced. They have two children – Samiera and Kian. Sanjay recently got married to Priya Sachdev, a model. Priya and Sanjay's wedding was a small event that took place in New Delhi, with the reception taking place in New York. Priya and Sanjay had been dating for five years before deciding to tie the knot.
