Son of fashion icon Vivienne Westwood and the late Malcolm McLaren, Corre co-founded London lingerie chain Agent Provocateur with his former wife, Serena Rees. He was experienced in fashion, having helped his mother clear her debts and establish her brand. When Corre and Rees divorced, he reluctantly agreed to sell his business to the private equity firm 3i. He had 60% of the shares and while the sale price was not disclosed, The Sunday Times reported that valuations ranged from £45m to £70m.

Corre, 43, told the paper: "The valuation of the company was in the sixties." If we assume it was £60m, his 60% stake would have been worth about £32m after tax. He is now building two brands: make-up company Illamasqua and A Child Of The Jago, a menswear label.
