In 2005, she was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. In 2006, they named her as their President. She is holding this position since 2006.

She married Prince Egon of Furstenberg in 1969. The couple had two children. She is now a grandmother of three children. In 2001, she married Barry Diller. She had a relationship with him since the 1970s.
