Born to Armenian immigrant parents in Los Angeles, California, Larry Gagosian attended University of California Los Angeles where he studied English Literature. His business actually started in selling posters near the campus of UCLA in the 1970’s. Shortly, he began re-selling contemporary art pieces and from then on, his business grew substantially.
