Vincent Neil Wharton is an American musician and vocalist who best known as the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe's lead vocalist. He currently has a net worth of $50 million.
Neil was born in Hollywood, California and his parents were Clois "Odie" Wharton and Shirley (née Ortiz). His mother is of Mexican ancestry, and his father is of Native American descent. In the 1960s, his family moved all over Southern California and eventually settled in Glendora. When he was just a teenager, he became interested in music.
Someone discovered Beil when he was performing with his band Rockandi last 1979. He eventually joined the band Mötley Crüe in 1980. The group was looking for a singer and was impressed after hearing him through Lee. Mötley Crüe released their first album Too Fast for Love in the same year. Throughout the decade, the band had a string of hit releases that established it as a big act in rock and roll.
The fortune of Mötley Crüe boosted after Tommy Lee, and Neil put aside their differences. They toured to support the 2005 compilation album Red, White & Crue. The tour became a Carnival of Sins that featured fire breathers, acrobats, and a dwarf to create an overall circus atmosphere. The group then released their most recent album, Saints of Los Angeles, in 2008 that features all of the original members.
