Born as Thomas Robert Daley on May 21, 1994 in Plymouth, England, Tom Daley began learning how to dive at age 7, and he was a Plymouth Diving Club member. From age 9, he started participating in some national and international competitions and by age 15,  he participated at 2009 FINA where he was declared as the World Champion. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, he was Great Britain's representative and he was the youngest participant to make it through the Finals.

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he represented England and he won two gold medals. Representing Great Britain, he was bronze medalist at the  2012 Summer Olympic Games.
