Dr. John Keoghan is Phil's father – he is an agricultural scientist who worked for conservation in New Zealand. His brother Andrew Keoghan is a television reporter. His sister Ruth Keoghan Cooper is an MBA graduate. Keoghan is married to Louise Keoghan and has a daughter named Elle.
