About Wendy Wilson
American singer Wendy Wilson is the member of the pop singing trio Wilson Phillips. She is the daughter of Brian Wilson, the founder of Beach Boys, and Marilyn, his first wife and a member of the girl group The Honeys. She is also the younger sister of Carnie Wilson.
Born on October 16, 1969 in Los Angeles, California, she is one of the founders of Wilson Phillips along with Carnie and childhood friend Chynna Phillips while they were teens. The group released two albums in 1990 and 1992 before splitting up.
In 1993, Wendy and Carnie released a Christmas album together. They also released an album called The Wilson in 1997 along with their estranged father, Brian. Eleven years after splitting up, the trio reunited and released their third album entitled California. They released the album called Dedicated in 2012 and it comprised covers of songs by The Beach Boys and The Mamas and Papas.
In the same year, Wendy Wilson joined her sister and other members of The Beach Boys’ families to form the vocal group California Saga which performed at an intermission during the homecoming Hollywood Bowl show of The Beach Boys’ 50th anniversary tour.
Wendy appeared in an episode of the American reality television program Supernanny in February 2008. In April of the same year, she appeared in an episode of the Tyra Banks show Amazing Moms. Along with her sister, their husbands and their mother, she appeared on a special edition of The Newlywed Game on January 7, 2010. The Wilson Phillips trio created the reality television show Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On in 2012.
