Tamia began her singing career in early-to-mid 199 when she released her first single, which was produced by Quincy Jones. The song You Put A Move On My Heart became a hit and reached #12 on the R&B charts. From 1995 to 1998, she had additional singles which all reached the Top 40. These included Stranger in My House (2001), So Into You (2003), Me (2006) and Beautiful Surprise (2012). Her single Missing You resulted from a collaboration with Gladys Knight, Brandy and Chaka Khan. In 1998, she released her debut album, became certified Gold.
