American singer, actor, and writer Pat Boone has an estimated net worth of $30 million. Born Charles Eugene Boone on June 1, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida, he grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and went to David Lipscomb High School. He then attended David Lipscomb College (now Lipscomb University) but graduated from Columbia University School of General Studies magna cum laude in 1958. He also attended North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) in Denton.
Boone is one of the most successful pop singers in the 1950s. His first big break came as a multiple winner of The Ted Mack Amateur Hour, a televised talent competition. The exposure led to a contract with Dot Records, and one of his first recordings, "Two Hearts, Two Kisses," became a hit single. By the mid-1960s, he focused on gospel music and was inducted in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. During his music career, he sold over 45 million albums, he had 38 Top 40 hits.
As a writer, Pat Boone had a number one bestseller in the 1950s (Twixt Twelve and Twenty, Prentice-Hall). Boone has since had a reputation as a wholesome, inoffensive celebrity, and speak as a motivational speaker, a television personality, and a conservative political commentator. He is married to Shirley Foley (1953), the daughter of country singer Red Foley. They have four daughters - Cheryl Lynn, Linda Lee, Deborah Ann and Laura Gene.
