Lupillo Rivera is the stage name of the Mexican- American singer-songwriter who has an estimated net worth of $12.5 million.
Known as El Toro del Corrido (Corrido's Bull) as an honor to a famous Mexican boxer, Rivera composed his first traditional song at the age of 15. It was dedicated to the memory of Miguel Carlos Ortega, a good friend who passed away around that time.
Born Guadalupe Rivera Saavedra on January 30, 1972 in La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico, he migrated along with his family at the age of four without any documents to Long Beach, California. He graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California and he started working for his father, singer Pedro Rivera, who is the owner of an independent label called Cintas Acuario.
Lupillo then decided to pursue a solo career in 1993, calling himself Lupillo. In 1999, Lupillo Rivera hit Californian Latin charts with a song called El Moreño, and later he signed up to Sony Discos. He received a Grammy Award or his album, Tu Esclavo y Amo. in 2010.
