Lisa Left Eye Lopes was born on May 27, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Lopes started her singing career as part of a trio called, Second Nature in the early 90s. The group was subsequently renamed TLC, and they released their first album, "Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip", in 1992. The album was a hit, selling six million copies.

TLC's second album, "CrazySexyCool"sold 15 million copies worldwide. Lisa Left Eye Lopes contributed self-written raps to many of their hit songs. Their third album, "Fanmail" was released in 1999, and it was again a massive success.

After the trio parted ways, Lisa Lopes began recording solo material and appearing as a guest artist on singles for such artists as Melanie C, Donelle Jones, 'N Sync, and Toni Braxton.

Lisa Nicole Lopes was born on May 27, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  On April 25, 2002 in La Ceiba, Honduras, Lopes was involved in a fatal car accident, which was recorded on video and added on the documentary called The Last Days of Left Eye.

Her funeral was held at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia on May 2, 2002. Lopes was buried at Hillandale Memorial Gardens, in Lithonia, Georgia.
