LaVan Davis is an American actor and singer best recognized for his appearance in Tyler Perry's House of Payne, a comedy-drama series on TBS where he played the role of Curtis Payne. His appearance on the show Davis the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in 2008 and 2009.

Debuting in the industry in 2004,  Davis first appeared in the film Mindbenders. This was followed by his guest appearances on Everybody Hates Chris twice. A year later, he became a part of Tyler Perry's House of Payne sitcom. This eventually led to his appearance in  Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns and Daddy's Little Girls. 

LaVan Davis has also performed in stage plays like Madea Goes to Jail  and Why Did I Get Married?.
