Kimberley Locke is an American model and singer-songwriter best known for her appearance on the TV series American Idol, on which she finished third during the second season. She earned wider attention after appearing on Celebrity Fit Club.
Kimberley Dawn Locke was born on January 3, 1978 in Hartsville, Tennessee, USA. Growing up, Locke admired several world renowned singers like Patti LaBelle, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston. She studied at Belmont University.
In 2002, she joined the second season of American Idol. In September of the following year, her debut album, One Love, was released. The album spawned the singles, “I Could” and “Wrong”. The album sold more than 200,000 copies in the US alone.
In 2007, Kimberley Locke released her second and third albums titled Based On A True Story and Christmas, respectively. In 2011, her EP Four For The Floor was launched into the market.
