The singer and songwriter then signed with Epic Records' Nashville division in 1990. Under the Epic label, he released a Christmas album, seven studios albums and a package of greatest hits. There are 35 of his singles that made it to the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, where five peaked at No. 1. These include his debut single "Home", "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)", "Third Rock from the Sun", "Pickup Man" (his longest-lasting No. 1, at four weeks) and "Bigger Than the Beatles". There are 12 others that made it to the Top 10 and ten that reached the Top 40 chart. In 2010, he released the album Homecoming: The Bluegrass Album through Rounder.
