Dino Paul Crocetti was better known as Dean Martin. He was born on 7th June 1917. Dean died on 25th December 1995 at the age of 78 years. He was an American comedian, film actor, singer and television star, and among the most reputed entertainers of his time. He was a very charming and confident person who stood out because of his amicable nature and personality. Because of his qualities, Dean was nicknamed the “King of Cool”.

Dean was an expert in four major areas – motion pictures, night clubs, television and recordings. He became famous by two television programs “The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts” that ran from 1974 to 1985, and “The Dean Martin Show” that was telecast from 1965 to 1974.

Dean has been an acclaimed singer. He has sung many hit songs which were famous because of his soft and soothing voice. His hit includes Sway, Everybody Loves Somebody, Memories are Made of This, Volare and Ain’t that a kick in the Head?. These hit songs were used in many ilms, television shows, fashion shows and video games. He had compiled an album called “Amore”, which was #1 in 2009 in the “Top Pop Catalog” albums.

He was married to Elizabeth Anne but the couple divorced after sometime. The couple has four children. He again got married to Jeanne Biegger in 1949, and had three children with her. His third marriage was with Catherine Hawn. Their marriage lasted for 3 years. Sasha, the daughter of Catherine, was adopted by Martin. But this marriage did not last too – they divorced. Dean died in 1995 from respiratory failure. He was suffering from lung cancer.
