Brian was very famous in the late 1990s because he was a member of the boyband “Westlife”. He eventually became a judge on Australia’s Got Talent. Brian McFadden was born in Dublin, Ireland. He sings pop and soft rock songs. He always had an interest in dancing, singing and football. In 1988, he formed an R&B group with his friends and called it “Cartel”. This group was busy performing at various pubs in Dublin.

In June 1998, McFadden had auditioned for the new Irish band called Westlife. Of course, he was selected as Brian McFadden is a very talented man. Interestingly, he changed his spelling from Brian to Bryan once he joined the band. According to reports, the spelling was changed as it was easy for him to sign autographs, which he had to do quite often. Westlife was hugely successful – they released a #1 greatest hits album and four Irish number 1 studio albums. In March 2004, McFadden left the group as he wanted to spend more time with his family. He also wanted to work on solo projects. When he started his solo career, he changed the spelling of his name back to Brian. His first solo album was named “Irish Son”. This album reached the top 5 on Irish and Danish charts.

Brian McFadden married the former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona in January 2002. They have two daughters. However, the couple announced their separation in September 2004. The divorce was final on December 2006. In 2004, McFadden started dating the Australian singer and actress Delta Goodrem. On April 1st 2011, he announced that they had called off the engagement.
