Worthington is famed for featuring in movies such as Avatar (2009), Terminator Salvation (2009), Clash of the Titans (2010), The Debt (2010/11), Texas Killing Fields (2011), Man on a Ledge (2012) among others. Born to parents, Jeanne and Ronald Worthington, in Surrey, England, Worthington and his parents later moved to Australia when he was six months old. He has worked in both Australian and American shows but it was not until 2004 that he got his big break when he was offered a starring role in Cate Shortland's widely acclaimed Australian drama Somersault. Worthington's career took an international limelight when he was cast in James Cameron's movie Avatar as Jake Sully.
