Rudy Sarzo is a Cuban-born American bassist and he has an estimated net worth of $16 million. Most of his money came from his music career as a singer and songwriter. Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont was born on November 18, 1950 in Havana, Cuba and was raised in Florida with his Cuban-American parents.

Sarzo began his musical career with the band Quiet Riot in 1978 and remained with them till 1981. While with the band, he also taught bass guitar at Musonia music school as requested by his bandmate, Randy Rhoads. Between 1981 and 1982, Sarzo played for Ozzy Osbourne band as its bassist because he was recommended by Rhoads. His performance can be heard in the live albums Speak of the Devil and Tribute.

Over the years, Rudy has played for several bands in the United States, but often rejoins Quiet Riot, either to perform or to record an album. When he left the band, he formed the heavy metal supergroup M.A.R.S. with close friend and former Ozzy Osbourne bandmate Tommy Aldridge.

In 2006, Rudy Sarzo released an autobiography, Off the Rails, which contained accounts of his times with different band groups. Whenever he is not busy recording or performing, he works in visual studios as a computer animator. He had, on several occasions, demonstrated new computer animation software in different trade shows around the country.
