Born in London on December 20, 1948, Alan Parsons is a popular English musician and audio engineer. Part of his $30 million net worth was obtained from his works as a record producer. He is also a bassist, flutist, guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist.
At a young age of 18, Parsons already worked as an assistant engineer at Abbey Road Studios. Because if his undeniable talent and knowledge in audio mixing, recording, and engineering, he became a regular at Abbey Road Studios and was credited for a number of projects including Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and Paul McCartney’s Red Rose Speedway and Wild Life. He received his first Grammy Award nomination for Pink Floyd’s album. From then on, he was invited to work on a number of albums and other musical projects.
In 1975, Parsons initiated The Alan Parsons Project and worked with other colleagues at Abbey Road. As a rock group, The Alan Parsons Project released a number of music videos but did not perform live. Some of the latest projects he engineered include the latest albums by Steven Wilson called The Raven That Refused To Sing.
