Richard Jenkins is a US film, TV and stage actor who was born in 1947. Richard’s net worth has been estimated to be $8 Million.

He was born in Illinois. His mother was a housewife and his father was a dentist by profession. Before becoming an actor, he used to drive a linen truck. From the Illinois Wesleyan University, he got a degree in drama and thereafter he relocated to Rhodes Island. While studying in the University, Richard became a member of the social fraternity group called – the Phi Gamma Delta.

His fame and wealth comes from acting in theatre in 1974. His debut in films was with the movie “Feasting with Panther”. Some of the initial films in which he has acted were, Hannah and Her Sisters, Snow Falling on Cedars, Witches of Eastwick, and How to Make an American Quilt. Jenkins has worked with many famous directors like the Farrelly brothers and also with the Coen brothers. He was also seen acting in movies like Step Brothers and North County. He was mainly known for being the supporting star, but in 2008, Richard got the lead role in the movie The Visitor. For this movie, he received many nominations, some of which were the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Independent Spirit Award.  Jenkin’s also co-acted in the movie “Dear John” portraying the role as the father of John Tyree.

Jenkins is best known for his role as Nathaniel Fisher in the TV series “Six Feet Under”. He played the role of a dead patriarch to the Fisher family and appeared to his family members as a ghost. He is married to Sharon R. Friedrick and has a daughter and son from her.
