Knaan (Keinan Abdi Warsame) is a Somali Canadian rapper with an estimated net worth of $1 million. Knaan has accumulated his net worth mainly from his musical performances. Apart from singing, he is a songwriter, poet, instrumentalist and an entrepreneur.

Born in 1978 in Mogadishu, Knaan gained recognition as from 1999 following a UN conference where he presented a spoken word piece. Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour invited the young Knaan to play a role in his upcoming album. It was through this project that he would meet renowned Canadian producer Jarvis Church and Brian West who produced his debut album titled “The Dusty Foot Philosopher” that was released in 2005. Knaan has since released more albums including the Country, God or the Girl (released in 2012) and collaborated with a host of artists such as Nelly Furtado, Damian Marley and Will.i.am.

Knaan has made various smart stock investments and has substantial property holdings. He enjoys a lucrative endorsement deal with CoverGirl cosmetics and owns a number of restaurants in Mogadishu as well as his own brand of Vodka.
