Douglas Davis is famous with his stage name Doug E. Fresh and he has an estimated net worth of $2 million. He is a Barbadian-American beatboxer, rapper, and record producer pioneered the 20th-century American beatboxing. He is capable of accurately imitating various special effects such as drum machines by using only his lips, mouth, throat, tongue, gums, and microphone.

In the year 2010, Doug was able to resurface after the rap group Cali Swag District brought back a few of his trademark moves in the song "Teach Me How to Dougie." It appeared as a modified version of the dance moves of Doug E. Fresh, made a song that features the dance and gave due credit to him.

On October 28, 2011, Doug E. Fresh was able to perform at the Paradise Theater in a concert that benefited the public hospitals of New York City. The show became a part of "STAT! for NYC's Public Hospitals" that aims to raise funds in order to minimize gun violence. On July 9, 2012, he became a celebrity judge of the Apollo Live TV show. He became the host of the Classic R&B and hip-hop show that was called "The Show" on May 25, 2013 and it was aired on the 107.5 WBLS channel in New York that aired from 9 to 11 pm every Saturday until the final broadcast happened on December 31, 2016.

Fresh eventually became a guest mentor to Joe Jonas and Jeff Dye. Together, they performed on the show I Can Do That on June 30, 2015.
