ASAP Rocky, whose real name in Rakim Mayers is an American rapper with an estimated net worth of $ 3.5 million. He ditched drug dealing for a rap career which took off in 2011 after releasing his first hit "Peso".
ASAP Rocky faced a difficult childhood growing up in the streets of Harlem. He started rapping at the age of 13. The killing of his brother in the cold Harlem streets is what really motivated him to take rapping more seriously.
He joined Harlem's music group known as ASAP Mob in 2007. He released his first mix tape in 2011 entitled "Live. Love. ASAP". His debut album was released in January 2013, entitled "Long. Live.ASAP".
Rakim Mayers was signed by Sony Music for a record deal worth 3 million dollars. $1.7 million was for his own solo career while the other $1.3 million was for funding his own company, ASAP.
In 2013 he debuted his ASAP clothing line which featured collaborations with talented fashion designer, Raf Simons.
