Kurt Alexander was born on September 8, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. In the late 1990's and early 2000's, Big Boy in the Morning started earning a great deal of attention, especially in the Los Angeles area. Kurt Alexander is also a businessman. He currently runs and manages, Ida's Son Productions, his own production company.

He is a four-time recipient of Personality of the Year award by the Radio Music Awards. He is also a three-time recipient of the Personality of the Year award by Radio and Records magazine. In 2002 and 2004, he received the Marconi Award from National Association of Broadcasters. In addition to being a radio host, Big Boy in the Morning also had cameo roles in shows like Longest yard, Charlie's Angels 2,  I Love New York, The Players Club and Malibu's Most Wanted. He even co-starred in Fastlane and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.
