Andrew Breitbart was an American was a conservative publisher, an author, commentator for the Washington Times, and an occasional guest commentator on news programs who has an estimated net worth of $9.5 million. He was born Andrew James Breitbart on February 1, 1969 in Los Angeles, California.
Andrew earned his fortune from his successful career as an author and publisher. He was also an editor for the Drudge Report website. He was a researcher for Arianna Huffington and helped her launch her web publication called The Huffington Post. He was the owner of the news aggregation site Breitbart.com. He also owned five other websites – Big Hollywood, Big Peace, Breitbart.tv, Big Journalism and Big Government. He had an important role in the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal, the ACORN 2009 undercover video controversy, and the resignation of Shirley Sherrod.
He was the adopted son of Gerald and Arlene Breitbart. He was raised as a Jew. He passed out from the Tule University in 1991 with a B.A. degree in American studies and went on to appear as a commentator on Real Time with Dennis Miller and Bill Maher. In 2004, Andrew was a guest commentator on the morning show of Fox News Channel. He also made frequent appearances as a guest panelist on the Fox News late night program. In February 2010, he received the Reed Irvine Accuracy in Media Award in Washington, D.C.
Breitbart was married to Susannah Bean. The couple had four children. On March 1, 2012, he collapsed when he was walking in Brentwood. He was immediately taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where he later died at the age of 43. Autopsy reports showed that he died of heart failure.
