Richard Donner is an American director and producer for film and television who has an estimated to have a net worth of $100 million. Born Richard Donald Schwartzberg on April 24, 1930 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, he has acquired his health by directing movies for the last 30 years.

Donner started with high hopes in the film industry by having a good acting career. However, he quickly moved into directing commercials and making business films. During the 1950s, he moved to television and directed some of the episodes of the Steve McQueen western serial Wanted: Dead or Alive and the Chuck Connors western The Rifleman. Other works for television include Have Gun Will Travel, The Fugitive, Combat!, Get Smart, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild Wild West, Gilligan's Island, Kojak, Tales from the Crypt and The Twilight Zone (most notably the famous Nightmare at 20,000 Feet starring William Shatner and From Agnes—With Love starring Wally Cox), as well as the serial Danger Island from the children's program The Banana Splits.

Richard made his debut film in  1961  and his first feature film was X-15, starring Charles Bronson and Mary Tyler Moore. Seven years later, he directed Salt and Pepper with Sammy Davis Jr., and Peter Lawford. He became big in 1976 after featuring in The Omen. His most known achievement followed with the Superman franchise.

After Superman, Richard Donner also directed the Lethal Weapon series that was a very popular franchise.
