Mark Schwahn is a renowned American screenwriter, producer and director. He is best known for the TV series 'One Tree Hill'. He was the creator, executive producer and head writer of the series. One Tree Hill ran for nine seasons before coming to an end on January 2012. Mark Schwahn was born on June 5th 1966. He was brought up in Pontiac Illinois and went to the University of Maryland.

Schwahn has been a co-writer in many films including, 'Coach Carter' in 2005, The 'Perfect Score' in 2004, 'Whatever It Takes' in 2000 and '35 Miles from Normal' in 1997. For Whatever It Takes, he also served as a producer. 35 Miles from Normal won the special Jury Award and was also nominated for Grand Jury Award. He also played a role in creation of Nashville and Spy School for Girls whose production ware cancelled. Mark Schwahn is also one of Writers Guild of America members.
