About Evan Goldberg
Canadian film screenwriter and producer Evan Goldberg has an estimated net worth of $20 million. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1982 to a Jewish family, Goldberg was raised in Marpole. He attended Point Grey Secondary School and McGill University before he joined the staff of Da Ali G Show with his childhood friend and comedy partner Seth Rogen. The two collaborated on the films Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express, Funny People, and The Green Hornet. In order to gain interest and funding, he created a pre-production trailer for Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse. He is now working on the film with Rogen.
Goldberg and Rogen are avid fans of the animated television series The Simpsons and they approached executive producer James L. Brooks, who was a fan of Superbad, if they could write an episode. In 2010, they wrote Season 21, Episode 1 Homer The Whopper. Some of his most recent works include the 2012 films The Guilt Trip and The Watch. His latest film The End of the World is already in post-production. Townies is currently in pre-production. Both films are set to be released in 2013. He won the 2008 Canadian Comedy Award Best Writing in a Film for the movie Superbad along with Rogen.
