While working as a presenter, Phillip Schofield also worked as a broadcaster on BBC Radio 1. Besides broadcasting, Schofield has also pursued a career in theater when he took the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. He was also involved in a theater production titled Dr. Dolittle.

His appearance in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat led him to accept the offer to record the cover single of Close Every Door. The single was released in 1992 which peaked the UK Singles Chart.

Schofield was able to present a couple of series of the prime-time game show called You're Back in the Room for ITV in the years 2015 to 2016. He traveled to South Africa with his wife in the year 2016 as part of a series of short clips for the show This Morning. Since March 2017, he was able to present ITV's new game show format 5 Gold Rings. He also presented a three-part factual series How To Spend It Well at Christmas with Phillip Schofield wherein he tested the newest festive gives people need to buy. Schofield then became the face for We Buy Any Car in the year 2017.
