Neil Leslie Diamond, a prolific songwriter and singer since the early 1960's, has an estimated net worth of $175 million. The successful singer who was born on January 24, 1941 led a very illustrious and colourful career in the music industry for the last five decades.
He got his first exposure to music at the Brooklyn Erasmus High School. He joined and sang for a fixed choir group with then classmate and totally obscure Barbra Streisand. Initially, the first songs he has written and composed failed to make money but it did into stop him for pursuing his love for music. His first hit composition "I'm a Believer" for The Monkees gained prominence as the greatest song for the year 1966 and eventually gave him the opportunity to write songs for other famous musical artists. Eventually he landed a prestigious contract with Bang Records where he wrote and sang most of his unforgettable hits like "Song Sung Blue", "Sweet Caroline" making him an established concert performer on the touring scene.
