Lou Adler is an American record producer, manager and director. Lou Adler also owns the famous Roxy Theatre. Lou Adler has a net worth of $200 million.

Adler was born on 13th December 1933 in Chicago Illinois. He was raised in East Los Angeles. Adler founded the Dunhill Records in 1964, which he co-owns. Starting from 1964 to 1967, he was the President and the Chief Record Producer of the company. However he sold the company later to ABC Records for three million dollars. In 1967, he founded Ode Records. In the summer of 1967, Lou helped organize the Monterey International Pop Festival.

Adler co-wrote and produced the song River Rock for Bob Landers and the cough drops along with Herb Albert. In 1972 Adler won two Grammy Awards for the Record of the Year – It’s Too Late by Carole King and Album of the year – Tapestry. Adler also produced and managed for Jean & Dean. Adler has produced projects of Sam Cooke, The Mamas and The Papas, Johnny Rivers, Barry McGuire, Scot McKenzie, The Grass Root, Spirit, The Weaver Temptation, Cheech and Chong and Carole King.

Adler produced The Rocky Horror Show in 1975. This is a cult horror film of all time. In 1981 he came up with Shock Treatment. In 1978, he tried his luck in direction. He directed his first movie – Up in Smoke which also featured Cheech and Chong. Adler’s 1981 movies “Ladies and Gentlemen” and “The Fabulous Stain” remained confined to the television. He married Shelley Fabares in 1964. She is an actress and singer.
