Jonathan Cain is an American musician and he has an estimated net worth of $30 million. He was born Jonathan Leonard Friga on February 26, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He began his accordion lessons at the age of eight. During his teens, he was already playing accordion and piano at parties and in clubs. He added guitar, bass and harmonica to his list of instruments in the next few years. He attended the Chicago Conservatory of Music before he moved to Nashville, Tennessee for some time and later to Los Angeles, California to pursue a fulltime music career.

He later joined The Babys in 1979 and has appeared on their albums Union Jacks and On the Edge. He left the group in 1980 to join the rock band Journey and took the place of Gregg Rolie on the keyboards.

Jonathan Cain was responsible for the band’s rise to the top of the charts with his first collaborations on the album Escape, composing and playing the piano on the songs like Don’t Stop Believin’. His work was described as “one of the best opening keyboard riffs in rock” by Allmusic. He was also the sole author of the Journey classis Faithfully. He has performed with the band for the next seven years. Then he formed with the group Bad English with a combination of former Journey and The Babys members.
