The band began rehearsing in a shed near his mother's mobile home. Since then, several albums were released, including the self-titled Modest Mouse in 1994, This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About and Interstate in 199), and The Fruit that Ate Itself and The Lonesome Crowded West (their breakthrough album) in 1997.
