Harold Faltermeyer is a German musician, composer, producer, and keyboardist who has an estimated net worth of $20 million. He earned most of his net worth by creating various popular theme songs for box office hits.

Born in Munich, Germany on October 5, 1952, Hans Hugo Harold Faltermeier began to play the keyboard at the young age of six. At 11, he was discovered having an absolute pitch by a Nuremberg music professor. He started playing the organ in a rock combo and learned how to play piano and trumpet at the Munich Music Academy. He was brought to Los Angeles by Giorgio Moroder to play keyboard and plan the soundtrack for Midnight Express. They worked together for the next decade producing several hits and albums for various artists, including Donna Summer, Barbra Streisand, and Bonnie Tyler, to name a few.

Faltermeyer used synthesizer technology, which eventually allowed him to earn world recognition. He is specifically famous for composing and writing many popular songs and redefining action films in the 1980s.

In 2006, he decided to go back to Germany to bring up his children where he has also continued to produce great hits in his recording studio. His songs are mainly for the German market. However, Faltermeyer continued to work together with his Los Angeles agency. In 2009, he did the soundtrack of the action-comedy Cop Out which opened in February 2010.
