Born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, Emilio Estefan has done many things in his life. He is a music producer, an actor, singer, and a businessman. His net worth, according to the latest estimate, stands at an impressive $500 million. He is also known as the husband of the songwriter, singer, and actress Gloria Estefan. He earned his wealth from his professional career as a musician and actor. Part of his wealth also comes from his business associations with his wife.

Emilio’s biggest achievement in his career is developing talented artists who made it in the music world. Meanwhile, he has organized many events both for the Hispanic television and the general market. Some of them are the Nuestra Navidad, The Hispanic Heritage Awards, The Latin Grammy's, and productions for Showtime and HBO. Estefan has produced music events at the White House too. In 2008, Michael Jackson's famous “We Are The World” song was performed by Latino entertainers in an event organized for the Haiti relief which he wrote the Spanish version.

Aside from being a music man, Emilio is an author too. His book, “The Rhythm of Success – How an Immigrant Produced his own American Dream” that was released in 2010 became a best-seller as well. The following year, he unveiled his second book, “The Exile Experience: A Journey to Freedom” which he collaborated with notable writer, Carlos Pintado and journalist Carlos Alberto Montaner.

Together with his wife, Emilio runs many business establishments such as Cuban-themed restaurants, Bongos Cuban Cafe and Larios on the Beach located at the Miami Beach, Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney in Orlando, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, and at the Miami International Airport. Also, they have two hotels as well – The Cardozo in Miami Beach, and Costa d'Este in Vero Beach.

In 2009, the couple became the first Hispanics to buy a minor ownership stake in an NFL team, the Miami Dolphins. Estefan was appointed as Miami Dade Special Ambassador by Commissioner Jean Monestime in 2014.
