Mr. T garnered high profile connections and he was hired as a bodyguard for several celebrities, one of which was Sylvester Stallone. The fortuitous meeting helped Mr. T land a part in Rocky III as Rocky Balboa's rival. After some brief success and follow-up roles, Mr. T produced his own cartoon series called "Mr. T's Commandments", encouraging young people to make positive life choices. His private battle with T-cell lymphoma in 1995 drew him out of the limelight. He still does work as a motivational speaker appearing on the television reality show "I Pity the Fool," a concept that centres around his desire to help and advise people about how to make positive choices.
