Cheryl Tiegs is an American model and fashion designer who has an estimated net worth of $24 million. She is also a public speaker, a spokesperson for the underprivileged children, environment activist and concerned about a lot of health related issues. Cheryl is considered to be the first super model in the US. This term was first used in the early 1970s, and Cheryl was given this unofficial title by her admirers.

She started her career at the age of 17 and eventually earned her fame and recognition for her long association with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, where she appeared on the cover in 1970, 1975, and again in 1983. Her pink-bikini poster in 1978 became a rage. It had much to do for her popularity.

Cheryl is also the first super-model to start her own line of clothes and accessories for Sears. In its 10-year span, her signature line sold almost billion dollar merchandise. In 2009, she was also the judge for the show “True Beauty” on the ABC channel. In 2004, she entered the Hall of Fame in the 40th anniversary issue of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Her close association with the environment and health related issues made her participate in many social awareness causes. She also went to the Arctic to find out the effects of Global Warming. Cheryl appeared on the television competition show “The Celebrity Apprentice” where she got eliminated in the beginning itself.
