Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm holds an estimated net worth of $33 million. Studying a diploma course for drama, singing, dance, and musical theatre at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts, Melanie answered an ad in The Stage which sought to form a new girl group. She left college just before finishing her course, and instead took up tap and modern theatre dance at the ISTD.
Melanie joined the Spice Girls in 1994, where she was earned the nickname "Sporty Spice", because of her usual outfit of a tracksuit and ponytail combined with a tomboy persona. Member of the band included Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham (then Victoria Adams) Despite Geri Halliwell leaving the group in 1998, the Spice Girls continued to be popular, up until their final album in 2000, after which they split up.
Since then, Melanie has continued to build up a successful career in music, and has hold over 12 million albums solo. Melanie is also the only female to have reached the UK number one spot as part of a quartet, quintet, duo, and solo act. She is professionally known as Melanie C, or Mel C.
