Green was famously employed David Cameron before the prime minister left his media group to enter politics. Green built Carlton Communications into the most powerful force in terrestrial independent television until he was ousted in a City coup in 2003. He is now retraining as a psychotherapist and has a £3m stake in a quoted marketing services company, Tangent Communications. His separate Tangent Industries company had net assets of £44.2m in 2009-10. With art and property, Michael Green has an estimated net worth of $132 million.
