Feuerstein got his break-through on television with his recurring role on the daytime soap opera Loving in 1995. However, he was highly noticed by the public when he appeared as a guest in an episode of the second season of Sex and the City. He became known for his role in the USA Network series, Royal Pains as Dr. Henry Lawson, which gave him the spotlight. Because of his talent as an actor, he went on to appear in TV series Fired Up (1997-1998), The West Wing (2001–2005) and Prison Break (2017).

Mark earned the nickname "Chaplin" on the set of Giving It Up (1999) because he has this uncanny knack for physical comedy. Along with his wife, Dana Klein, with whom he has three children, he co-created the CBS sitcom 9JKL. He also starred in the short-lived television, which debuted in October 2017.

In 2003, Mark Feuerstein was named one of 50 Most Beautiful People by People Magazine.
