Mario Batali is an American writer, chef, restaurateur and media personality with a net worth of $25 million. He has gained his wealth from other fields of expertise such as history and culture of Italian cuisine, classical culinary training and regional and local variations. Batali’s much wealth come from the restaurants business he co-owns in Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Westport, Connecticut. Batali started as a dishwasher during his college life in New Jersey at Stuff Yer Face restaurant and later moved to Stromboli as a pizza maker. He went from a normal employee to the highest paid young chef at the age of twenty-seven.

After his successive apprenticeship in traditional Italian cooking, he opened Po in 1993. This was just but the beginning of a booming partnership in the hotel industry that has seen him come this far. Mario has featured in various shows and films including Spain on the Road Again series filmed in 2008. He owns the Mario Batali Foundation to empower children through education.
