Jon Peters is an American film producer which has an estimated net worth of $200 million.

Jon Peters began to connect with Hollywood celebrities when he handled his family's hair styling business on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood.

He designed a short wig that Barbra Streisand wore for the 1974 comedy For Pete's Sake.  He produced Streisand's 1974 Butterfly album.

He worked with Peter Guber in films such as The Color Purple, Flashdance, Batman, and Rain Man. He headed Sony Pictures Entertainment with Guber for two years until Guber fired him.

He bought rights to the Superman film franchise from Warner Bros. Writer and director Kevin Smith met Peters after completing a script. He instructed him to include a robot sidekick for Brainiac.

He is the producer for the 2006 film, Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer, and an executive producer for 2013 film Man of Steel, movie directed by Zack Snyder.

Other films that he became the producer and executive producer are Eyes of Laura Mars, Die Laughing, Caddyshack, An American Werewolf in London, Flash Dance, and The Color Purple, among others.
